Ottawa's annual celebration of comic book and pop culture is about to turn six and the event's organizers have chosen to celebrate the milestone by going "red." Redheads Gates McFadden, best known as Dr. Beverly Crusher from Star Trek: the Next Generation, Madelaine Petsch, from the hit TV show Riverdale and Ruth Connell, who plays the witch Rowena on the TV show Supernatural, have been added to the event as "featured guests."

Alien: Covenant, starring Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterston, hits cinemas this week the latest in the hit sci-fi franchise that has already scooped a whopping 1billion at the box office.

WorkSafe's investigation into the Saint Kentigern College production of Sweeney Todd found students had only six days to rehearse using the razor blades. Despite four months of rehearsals, Saint Kentigern students had only six days to practice the throat-cutting scenes in a school play that resulted in "life-threatening" injuries for two students.

Twin Peaks was a huge TV hit of the early 1990s. The series, created by Mark Frost and David Lynch, brought Lynch's brand of nightmarish surrealism to the small screen.

Hey folks, Harry here... Mother, Can you explain the modern Republican Party? "Does Not Compute" Yeah, no shit! Having an AI to settle Poker games would be pretty f'n sweet. Mother, Where's Jeff Goldblum? "He's under a pile of laundry on the couch!" that would be so friggin handy! That said, I think naming AI's after family is all the creepy - and I've always felt that way, from the moment Tom Skerritt interacted with MOTHER in the first ALIEN.
