The news of director Neil Marshall and actor David Harbour teaming up for a Hellboy reboot was bittersweet. While Hellboy III appeared less and less likely as the years went by, and Guillermo del Toro confirmed it was dead before the reboot announcement , fans were still sad the final part of del Toro's trilogy won't ever see the light of day.

"The Mummy," Universal's Cruise-led film that is kicking off a planned franchise of reboots featuring the studio's library of classic monsters, pulled in $12 million Friday, with estimates saying the film will only bring in $30 million this weekend. That tally pales in comparison to 1999's "The Mummy" starring Brendan Fraser, which became a summer sensation - grossing more than $155 million domestically and spawning two sequels and a spinoff starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

There's a potential joke in the headline. The Mummy is supposed to be the start of a big new mega-franchise, and I'll be surprised if it leads to as many as eight more installments.

Actresses who put every detail of their lives on social media are missing out on one of the best parts of being a Hollywood star, according to Hollywood legend Tippi Hedren. "Hollywood has always had a mystique about it, and I would hate to see that go away," the amazingly sprightly 87-year-old told us at the annual Heroes of Hollywood luncheon fundraiser in Los Angeles.
