Spider-Man: Homecoming opens tonight, and everybody seems to love it . Congrats, Spider-Man! It's about time something went right for you! A cape ? What kind of Spider-Man has a goddamn cape ? The kind who also has a broken arm and who inexplicably started crying immediately after this picture was taken, thus ruining not only his face-painted spider-webs but also, one could argue, Halloween itself.

Romero's studio funded zombie masterpiece coming to Blu-ray in a 2 disc special edition Because of video games, the success of a film made from one of those video games and because of the spark of interest in zombie movies like 28 Days Later and the Dawn of the Dead remake, the man that made the REAL Dawn of the Dead got a surge of serious studio money to make his 4th and biggest living dead opus, Dead Reckoninglater changed to Land of the Dead . Released in 2005 Land of the Dead won major critical acclaim for its typically sharp Romero social commentary as well as KNB's awesomely grim special effects.

Universal Cable Productions today announced an overall development deal with John Carpenter, the celebrated director of horror films including "Halloween," "The Thing," and "Escape from New York." Under the new deal, Carpenter will executive produce scripted programming with UCP for the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment portfolio, as well as for external networks and streaming services, along with his producing partner, Sandy King, under their Storm King Productions banner.

Actor Steve Coogan has warned that schools are at "crisis point" as he joined children outside Downing Street to call for government to plug a growing funding gap. The 51-year-old star, along with Save Our Schools campaigners and MPs including Green Party co-leader Caroline Lucas, delivered over 10,000 messages from young children to Number 10. Youngsters from more than 60 primary schools across Brighton, Birmingham, Manchester, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight wrote positive notes about their school.
