Yes, Count Dracula is coming to the Long Beach Playhouse on the company's Mainstage season with the 1924 stage adaptation of Bram Stoker's "Dracula." The play, which opened on Broadway in 1927 with Bela Lugosi in the lead role, runs Sept. 23-Oct. 21 with Long Beach actor Stephen Alan Carver biting into the lead role for the Playhouse production.

Halloween's almost here, and Netflix is ready to creep us all the eff out with a new season of Stranger Things, David Fincher's FBI profiler series Mindhunter, and the latest installment in the Child's Play franchise. Yes, Cult of Chucky, the seventh film featuring the killer "Good Guys" doll, rolls out at the top of October while other movies, like Paul Thomas Anderson's Boogie Nights, Stanley Kubrick's final film Eyes Wide Shut, and Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight fill out the rest of the month.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise her role as the resilient protagonist in 2018's "Halloween," Universal Pictures said, 40 years after she made her movie debut in the original horror movie of the same name and became Hollywood's "scream queen." Curtis, 58, will once again play Laurie Strode, the babysitter who faced the deadly masked serial killer Michael Myers in John Carpenter's 1978 horror "Halloween."

Speaking in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly , Muschietti revealed that he has a "dream" to direct a remake of King's 1983 horror novel Pet Sematary , which was originally made into a film in 1989. "My affection for Pet Sematary will go on until I die," Muschietti said.
