With Halloween less than three weeks away, the time has come for horror fans to start picking out the classic spooky flicks they intend to watch on October 31. The horror genre is chock full of iconic films to choose from, and when it comes to recommendations, there are few filmmakers with more insight than The Conjuring 's James Wan. In fact, the horror master recently opened up with his own suggestions for Halloween viewing, and he kicked off his list with the Italian classic, Black Sunday .

But if you walk into the theater expecting either a Taken knockoff or a typical Jackie Chan vehicle, you're going to be disappointed. Which is a shame, because The Foreigner is really interesting-just not for the sort of reasons that fit into a trailer.

Netflix's latest crime thriller "Mindhunter" just might surprise you, star Holt McCallany told TheWrap ahead of the series premiere this Friday. "It's a very unique kind of show," McCallany said, adding that there are some scenes "that are almost like theater," and that because of the lack of need for commercial breaks or other traditional restraints, the "narrative is really allowed to unfold at its own pace."

The 53-year-old Mexican filmmaker was obsessed with the classic 1954 Universal monster movie as a child but unlike most viewers he always wanted Julie Adams' character Kay Lawrence to get together with the creature, known as Gill-Man. 'Creature from the Black Lagoon' tells the story of a group of scientists who disturb a strange amphibious prehistoric beast lurking in the depths of the Amazonian jungle who they want to capture.

The iPhone maker is bringing back Spielberg's 30-year-old anthology series "Amazing Stories" in its attempt to build an online video subscription service to challenge the digital networks operated by Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and HBO. "We love being at the forefront of Apple's investment in scripted programming, and can't think of a better property than Spielberg's beloved 'Amazing Stories' franchise," NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said in a statement Tuesday.
