The Daily Journal Holiday Film Series kicks off 7 p.m. Wednesday with the showing of "Jurassic Park" at Classic Cinemas Paramount Theatre in downtown Kankakee. Released June 11, 1993, the science-fiction adventure film, directed by Steven Spielberg, follows a preview tour of a theme park that suffers a major power breakdown, causing cloned dinosaurs to terrorize the park.

MGM has released a teaser poster for the upcoming reboot of Child's Play , which will be arriving in theaters next summer on June 21, 2019, Variety has confirmed. The horror movie will be debuting alongside Disneya Pixar's Toy Story 4 and Sony's Grudge reboot.
