As he departs the Whoniverse after the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special, writer and actor Mark Gatiss will turn his full attention to a new project: an adaptation of Dracula with Steven Moffat. And although the scripts aren't finished, Gatiss has an idea which character he would like to get his fangs into.

Looking back on 2017, it's impossible to forget the entertainment icons who were taken too soon. We lost a Batman and a James Bond in Adam West and Roger Moore, directors such as Jonathan Demme and George Romero, and actors with distinguished careers like Sam Shepard -- a Renaissance man of the arts.

For decades, the incomparable John Waters has influenced offbeat artists everywhere. Now, like a twisted Santa on a mission, he'll be coming to town with his one-man show, A John Waters Christmas, at Diana Wortham Theatre Monday, Dec. 18. "I talk about everything - Christmas decorations, criminals, fashion, music, art, crime - you know, even criminals have to have a good Christmas," Waters says of his stage show.
