Looking every bit its direct-to-video status, a new trailer has arrived for the post apocalyptic western "Scorched Earth" starring "Haywire" star Gina Carano and "The Mummy" alum John Hannah. In the film the planet has suffered an environmental collapse with billions having died out.

Criterion Cinemas in New Haven will kick off the 2018 season of "Insomnia Theater" with a classic of horror comedy. The 1992 classic "Army of Darkness" stars Bruce Campbell as a man transported to 1300 A.D., where he has to battle the undead and rescue a priceless artifact.

Ridley Scott's new movie "All the Money in the World" follows the 1973 kidnapping of John Paul Getty III, the then-16-year-old grandson of billionaire oil magnate John Paul Getty. While the elder Getty is seen in the film making plans for the Getty Villa on the Malibu coast to house his extensive art collection, the film does not reference the family's more recent Hollywood connection.

A new 2 coin designed to mark 200 years since the publication of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein novel is today issued by the Royal Mint. The novel was first published on January 1, 1818 and tells of the monster brought to life by Dr Frankenstein.
