The original "Jaws" movie was a classic, but it's sequel not so much. According to a recent podcast, filmmaker Steven Spielberg initially wanted to tell a very different shark tale - the famed sinking of the USS Indianapolis, as told by "Jaws" character Quint - instead of returning to Amity Island.

THE Genius Of Alfred Hitchcock, a short season of six films by the famed English director, starts at City Screen, York, on Sunday with 1959's North By Northwest starring Cary Grant. "Our Vintage Sundays season revisits the unmissable work of the master of suspense himself, giving customers the opportunity to experience his films in the way he intended: on the big screen," says City Screen marketing manager Dave Taylor.

'Friday the 13th' will get "another incarnation" once the legal battle over the horror franchise is settled, Platinum Dunes producer Andrew Form has insisted. In February 2017, production on a new installment in the slasher franchise was shut down just weeks before it was due to begin with Breck Eisner hired to direct the slasher flick from a script by Aaron Guzikowski with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form back on board to produce again after they brought back hockey mask wearing psychopath Jason Voorhees in a 2009 movie.
