Final Destination 5 Makes a Killing Overseas; Final Destination 6 on the Way?

Final Destination 5‘s August box office opening might have been disappointing, and it looks like, despite the elevated 3-D ticket prices, it will have the lowest domestic tally of the entire Final Destination franchise, but don’t be surprised if in a year or two, you see Final Destination 6 hitting the big screen. That’s because, like The Final Destination two years ago, Final Destination 5 has become a sensation in the foreign market, earning around $100 million to date. It’s on pace to near the $120 million international gross from 2009 that helped convince New Line that TFD shouldn’t be “The FINAL Destination” after all.
