Red State Release Moves Up

Originally slated for an October 19 release, Kevin Smith’s “extreme fundamentalism” thriller Red State is abandoning the Halloween season for Labor Day. Presumably this means it will open on the Friday before Labor Day (September 2), although with Smith’s unorthodox release approach, he may very well opt to open on Labor Day itself (September 5). Either way, it’s good news for those who weren’t able to catch the film during its travelling road show this past spring.
