The racial subtext of the group dynamics within the film that continues to be subject to significant critical attention, the infuriating continued relevance of the film's famous conclusion, in which Ben, the lone survivor, is shot and killed by the armed posse that should have been his salvation-all of this would disappear if the role of Ben had gone to a white actor instead of Duane Jones .

Despite all the ranting and raving about the Saw franchise being "torture porn", I enjoyed the first three movies quite a bit.
