Dior launched its Couture Cruise 2019 Collection at its Christmas pop-up unit on Castlereagh Street on Wednesday evening and you could barely get in the door for the number of networkers in attendance. Models Jessica Gomes , Jessica Hart and Montana Cox were packed in like sardines, as well as influencers Tahnee Atkinson and Mimi Elashiry and her boyfriend Nick Tsindos , and Eastern Suburbs eyebrows queen Kristin Fisher .

The forthcoming film was announced in 2015 with Dwayne Johnson starring as the lead character and is intended to be a follow-on from the 70-year-old director's original 1986 movie, which starred Kurt Russell and went on to become a cult classic despite initially disappointing at the box office. Carpenter believes that little respect will be paid to his story and instead the title has been selected so to be a well-known vehicle for Johnson.

If there's a book on how to be a female storyteller who's inoffensive to the Hollywood establishment, twin sisters Jen and Sylvia Soska would probably send a chainsaw through it in one of their films.
