Remember the twenty-five minutes in the middle of Dead Calm where Sam Neill struggles to escape a sinking ship? The Boat is the suspense and tension of that sequence maintained for feature length, but with a taste of the supernatural. Or 2013's All Is Lost which stars Robert Redford alone against a similar predicament? The Boat mirrors the drama and isolation of that film, but with a splash of the unnatural.

For the first time in fifteen years, veteran horror actor Robert Englund will don the sweater and claws of Freddy Krueger. Englund will reprise the role for a Halloween episode of ABC sitcom The Goldbergs .

I'm a huge fan of zombie movies, and yet I do recognize that it's probably the most tired, most explored subgenre of horror out there. It doesn't take much to make a zombie movie.

Continuing their fantastic run of form the UK arm of Criterion have announced another selection of classics to join their ranks in December. The Blob - 3rd December A cult classic of gooey greatness, The Blob follows the havoc wreaked on a small town by an outer-space monster with neither soul nor vertebrae, with Steve McQueen playing the rebel teen who tries to warn the residents about the jellylike invader.

ABC announced Friday that Robert Englund is reprising his role as the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" slasher for a Halloween episode of the ABC sitcom. The show is keeping with its 1980s setting.

The Joker was created in 1940 by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson, first appearing in the Issue #1 of Batman . The character was heavily inspired by Gwynplaine, a character portrayed by Conrad Veidt from the 1928 silent-film, The Man Who Laughs .
