Venice, July 24 - British actress Vanessa Redgrave will receive this year's Golden Lion for lifetime career achievement at the Venice Film Festival, organisers aid Tuesday. The 75th Venice film fest runs from August 29 to September 8 this year.

Hulu's new series Castle Rock is both an Easter egg-strewn extravaganza for hardcore fans of Stephen King's creepy canon, as well as solid suspense entertainment for the uninitiated. Executive produced by J.J. Abrams, the 10-part drama is based on an original story set in the fictional Maine town where many of King's horror stories take place.

It wasn't REDUM that gave Sissy Spacek pause about signing on to appear in Stephen King's Castle Rock but REDSCRIPT. "I'm really thrilled to be a part of this," the Oscar winner told Michael Ausiello during a visit to TVLine's Comic-Con video suite with her co-stars and the show's EPs.

The Joaquin Phoenix-fronted Joker movie has come together very quickly. Now that the film is officially in development, it has been slapped with an October 4, 2019 release date and seems to have moved along quite nicely.

This Fifth instalment in the Jurassic Park franchise follows on from 2015's Jurassic World, and sees Chris Pratt teaming with Bryce Dallas Howard to take on prehistoric beasts once again. After the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park two years ago, the island of Isla Nublar has been inhabited only by the remaining dinosaurs, but when a volcano threatens to wipe them out once and for all, Claire and Owen are recruited to head up a rescue mission.

Who knew a panel at San Diego Comic-Con for the upcoming "Halloween" film would produce one of the most emotional moments of this year's annual fan convention? It all started during a Q&A portion of the program when audience member Jeffrey Scott recounted his encounter with a knife-wielding home invader. "I was scared out of my mind and out of nowhere this thought inside of me went, 'Well, what would Jamie Lee Curtis do?'" Scott said, according to videos posted online from those in attendance.
