Stan Dragoti, the ad man-turned-film director who co-created the "I Love New York" campaign and is best known for his comedy films "Love at First Bite" and "Mr. Mom," died July 13. He was in an assisted living facility and had been experiencing health issues following open heart surgery in 2014, the Hollywood Reporter reports. Born in 1932 in New York to Albanian immigrant parents, Dragoti began his career directing commercials, most prominently for pioneering ad agency Wells Rich Greene beginning in 1966.

The Scream franchise played a big role in bringing the slasher subgenre of the horror world back to prominence back in the 1990s, and the sequels only upped the ante in terms of graphic violence and intensity. One of the most brutal deaths in Scream 2 is the untimely demise of Jada Pinkett Smith's Maureen, and it turns out that the idea behind the grisly murder stemmed from the actress herself.

Nathan Abrams, a professor of film at Bangor University, told The Guardian that he found the 1956 script Kubrick co-wrote along with novelist Calder Willingham, based on Stefan Zweig's 1913 novella, "Burning Secret"; Kubrick and Willingham collaborated on "Paths of Glory" a year later. Abrams described the script as "the story of adultery and passion set in a spa resort.

Anurag Kashyap says he will only stop working with frequent collaborator Nawazuddin Siddiqui when they will not have anything new to offer to the audience. Siddiqui has featured in Kashyap's Black Friday and Dev D but it was the Gangs of Wasseypur series, headlined by the actor, which brought him the long overdue recognition.
