According to Entertainment Weekly , Bruce Willis has signed on to star in the upcoming drama Cornerman as legendary boxing trainer Cus D'Amato, IMR International announced Monday. Written and to be directed by Homeland alum Rupert Friend, the film is set in 1980s New York and tracks D'Amato's discovery and molding of a 13-year-old Tyson, who would go on to become one of the greatest - and most controversial - boxers of all time.

In a story May 4 about the expulsion of Roman Polanski from the organization that bestows the Academy Awards, The Associated Press reported erroneously the number of members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences board of governors. The board has 54 members, not 55. LOS ANGELES - Until Thursday, Roman Polanski had been a film academy member for over 40 years since pleading guilty to unlawful sex with a minor in 1977.

Broadway violinist and Elk County native, Kurt Coble, will return to the Reitz Theater stage with his award-winning robotic orchestra, "The P.A.M. Band." From May 11-13, Coble will present screenings of the classic silent horror film, " The Phantom of the Opera Reinvented " featuring original music written by Coble.

There was not going to be anything in the way of mystery this weekend, given the top grossing film earned over $100 million more than the second place title. There was a collection of new titles released, but they were trampled underfoot of the the stampeding epic.

Marvel Studios ' Avengers: Infinity War dominated with another $275.1 million worldwide this weekend to take its global total to $1.164 billion! The juggernaut was the fastest ever to cross the $1 billion mark globally, doing so in just 11 days of release on Saturday. The record was previously held by Disney's own Star Wars: The Force Awakens , which surpassed the mark in 12 days.
