The basement of the Gerald Winters & Son Rare Books store in downtown Bangor was flooded with several feet of water Tuesday morning as a water main broke on Main Street. The water soaked pages of dozens of first- and limited-edition King books, galleys, signed copies, prints in different languages, rare ephemera, and seven of King's original manuscripts.

According to state Representative Jay Lawrence of Scottsdale, President Donald Trump is 100 percent right to describe countries like El Salvador and Haiti as "shitholes." Just don't call Lawrence racist for agreeing with the president, who Lawrence says is "an absolute non-racist."

In a tweet honoring John Carpenter's 70th birthday, Rotten Tomatoes accidentally killed off the legendary filmmaker - but don't worry, he's alive and well. "John Carpenter would have been 70 years old today! We celebrate his birthday by looking back at his five favorite films," Rotten Tomatoes wrote in the now-deleted tweet, captured by Bloody Disgusting writer John Squires.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis , who played Eliza Dushku 's mother in "True Lies," says Dushku's allegation that she was sexually abused while making the movie should serve as a wake-up call for adults who work with children. Curtis, in an essay published Sunday by The Huffington Post , wrote that Dushku's story "has now awakened us from our denial slumber to a new, horrific reality: The abuse of children."

Liam Neeson described the wave of sexual misconduct allegations against several Hollywood stars as a "bit of a witch-hunt." Speaking on Irish TV during "The Late Late Show on RTE" on Friday, he appeared to defend actors including Dustin Hoffman who have been accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior by calling the allegations "a bit of a witch-hunt."
