Actress Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise her role as the resilient protagonist in 2018's "Halloween," Universal Pictures said, 40 years after she made her movie debut in the original horror movie of the same name and became Hollywood's "scream queen." Curtis, 58, will once again play Laurie Strode, the babysitter who faced the deadly masked serial killer Michael Myers in John Carpenter's 1978 horror "Halloween."

Speaking in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly , Muschietti revealed that he has a "dream" to direct a remake of King's 1983 horror novel Pet Sematary , which was originally made into a film in 1989. "My affection for Pet Sematary will go on until I die," Muschietti said.

A proposed film remake of "Lord of the Flies" that would feature girls instead of boys has piqued Margaret Atwood's interest. The Canadian author says the film would have to acknowledge the different ways girls and boys relate, but she suggested it wouldn't be hard to find themes that a modern-day audience could relate to.
