Director Dan O'Bannon only directed two feature films, but seeing as his first was The Return of the Living Dead you know damn well that his second would at least be worth a watch. Happily his sophomore effort is actually quite good too.

For the 2017 installment of the annual scare-a-thon, Halloween Horror Nights creative director John Murdy and his crew have come up with seven all-new attractions based on some of the biggest titles and characters in the horror television and film genre.

A decade after voting a Top 50, members of the Visual Effects Society have now come together again to mark their 20th year with an expanded list of what they consider the seventy most influential visual effects films ever made. The list, which spans more than a century, is said to represent films that have had a significant, lasting impact on the practice and appreciation of visual effects within the art of cinematic expression and storytelling.

"Twin Peaks" executive reveals that David Bowie knew about the show's plans to feature him in the series' reboot Even though he died in January 2016, David Bowie is featured in the Twin Peaks sequel TV series Twin Peaks: The Return , whose finale recently aired on Showtime. Bowie's appearances, as the mysterious FBI agent Phillip Jeffries, were actually pieced together using footage of his cameo from the 1992 movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me.

The 49-year-old actor, who is best known for starring in TV series 'Lost', could be starring as Major Ben Daimo, a consultant to the titular character at the Bureau for Paranormal Research, in the Neil Marshall reboot after Skrein dropped out of the movie due to complaints the character was being "whitewashed", Variety reports. The casting of the 'Deadpool' star had been slammed by fans, as the character is originally portrayed as Japanese-American in the comic book.

Business Insider reporter Jason Guerrasio is attending the Toronto Film Festival this week and managed to get a brief update from filmmaker David Gordon Green on the new "Halloween" film which he's slated to helm. Green was hired to direct earlier this year, with frequent collaborator Danny McBride co-writing the script with him.

In an interview, Neeson said that he plans to stop even though it's hard to turn down the lucrative offers he gets thanks to his box-office success in the three "Taken" films, as well as other thrillers. Neeson believes he's simply getting too old to be an action hero.
