Sam Shepard 's ex-partner and former collaborator Jessica Lange had opened up about the late actor and playwright's style of humour in an article that was published the same day his death was announced, and she was wonderfully diplomatic about it. She is yet to publicly comment on the sad news.

The 74-year-old actor has been cast to play Professor Broom, the scientist who adopts the titular demon child, in the Neil Marshall reboot, the Hollywood Reporter has revealed. The part of Professor Broom was originally brought to life by the late John Hurt in the Ron Perlman movies 'Hellboy' and 'Hellboy 2: The Golden Army'.

On the page, Sam Shepard was seldom at a loss for words, but on the screen, he was a master of resonant understatement. The men he played over more than four decades on the screen have encompassed multitudes - lovers, loners, drifters, professionals, authority figures, rebels and one very famous test pilot - but they tend to be lumped together with words such as "laconic" and "taciturn," perfectly accurate descriptors that can nonetheless seem inadequate to the task of capturing his peculiar expressiveness.

Monday marks the 30th anniversary of The Lost Boys , the stylish 1987 horror comedy film that reinvigorated the vampire genre for a new generation, making them young and sexy, and paving the way for books and films like the Twilight series, and TV's Buffy the Vampire Slayer , True Blood and The Vampire Diaries . According to IndieWire , The Lost Boys began as a Goonies -esque kid adventure, but under the direction of then largely unknown Joel Schumacher, the movie took its darker, R-rated turn.

First off, it accidentally on purpose leaned into the whole "Luke Perry is the '90s version of James Dean" . Second, the cast was stacked with future A-listers and Oscar winners in the beginning of their careers, some in super minor roles and those are just the parts that WEREN'T cut for time and budget.

Hope you like your Tuesday afternoons terrifying as the teaser trailer for Jennifer Lawrence's new movie Mother! just landed. Although the brief footage doesn't give away plot details to the psychological thriller, it does include Lawrence slowly stepping around an eerily empty house, only disturbed by overlaying voices.

Twin Peaks: The Return has tested the patience of even its most dedicated fans several times since its debut in May, but nothing - not the Dougie-heavy scenes or Candie's drawn-out fly-swatting shenanigans or the ultra-violent Part 10 - has agitated viewers as strongly as last night's episode. Part 12 teased us with much-anticipated information before shutting us down so often that it became a central theme of the episode.
