How veteran performer Michael Rooker went from the skeezy realm of serial killers and heavies to the blockbuster-friendly heights of Guardians of the Galaxy The character actor has made a career of playing the heavy, the blood-thirsty psychopath, the bad hombre. Unlike many of his journeymen contemporaries, who toil in the background for years until they snag a big break, Rooker earned one of his meatiest and most dangerous, roles straight out of the gate, playing the title character in 1986's Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer , his debut feature performance.

Variety reports that director Brian De Palma is back with his new film after five years away since his 2012 movie 'Passion', which starred Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace, but now the 'Scarface' creator has announced his next thriller 'Domino'. The film is written by Petter Skavlan and follows Copenhagen-based police officer who seeks justice after his partner is murdered.

North Korea has tailored its spate of ballistic missile tests to defeat the U.S.-stationed defense systems ready to protect the South and Japan from descending warheads, a report to Congress says. The bellicose North regularly flight-tests a panoply of ballistic missiles that could, in war, be capped with miniaturized nuclear warheads and strike its two democratic neighbors and U.S. allies.

A sandwich shop in New Westminster, B.C., is proving that even an A-list actor can't resist the lure of free food. Alex Johrden, spokesman for Big Star Sandwich Co., says staff heard about a movie filming in the area and decided to put a sign outside the restaurant on Tuesday that said "Liam Neeson eats here for free," hoping the action hero would stop by.

After a fierce bidding war with both studios and independents, Lakeshore Entertainment has acquired the rights to a Peppermint , a female-centric action project that has Pierre Morel, the helmer behind action hit Taken , on board to direct. Chad St. John, a co-writer on the Gerard Butler actioner London Has Fallen , penned the script for the project, which will be produced by Lakeshore's Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi, Richard Wright and Eric Reid.

Having suffered from depression herself, the comedian is well aware of the 'tears of the clown' syndrome, but having studied for a Master's Degree in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, she is armed for battle against stress that she points out 'can attack anyone'.
