My sincere apologies if this makes you feel old, but it's now been 13 years since Rob Zombie's directorial debut solidified his status as a horror filmmaker worth keeping an eye on. It was back in 2003 that House of 1000 Corpses turned Zombie from musician to musician/filmmaker, and he followed up his debut effort with The Devil's Rejects , Halloween , Halloween 2 , and most recently, The Lords of Salem .

Much like us grumpy fans, the stars of our favorite horror movies are sometimes averse to the idea of their movies being remade. Other times, however, they're so on board that they agree to actually appear in the remakes of classic films they were in.

Scream Factory will be bringing Brian De Palma's Raising Cain to home video on September 13th, and right now we have a few clips from the flick for you to dig on! Raising Cain [Collector's Edition] offers impressive bonus features including new interviews with actors John Lithgow, Steven Bauer, Gregg Henry, Tom Bower, and Mel Harris and editor Paul Hirsch; a new featurette titled Changing Cain: Brian De Palma's Cult Classic Restored; a new video essay by Peet Gelderblom titled Raising Cain Re-Cut; and a never-before-seen director's cut of the film featuring scenes reordered as originally intended. When Jenny cheated on her husband, he didn't just leave he split.

Coming up with a list of the Top 25 Horror Films is a good way to weed out the manly sort from the scaredy cats. You can spot 'em every time a jump scare happens, or a devil-possessed girl crab walks upstairs, or an alien missiles out of some poor sucker's chest.

When I think of summer's past, I'm always reminded of summer camp, swimming pools, drinking sweet tea on my grandmother's porch and going to the movies. Those childhood memories echo within me still and, as I venture to the theaters to escape the summer heat or the craziness of the world, I'm reminded of the power of film, and impact it can have as a shared group experience.

As the director tells it, George A. Romero was driving the 35mm print of his maiden feature film voyage Night of the Living Dead from Pittsburgh to New York City for its world premiere. The year was 1968 and, as the day got darker and the distance between the two cities got shorter, Romero turned on the radio to learn that Martin Luther King Jr. had been assassinated.

Back in 2008, the inexplicable popularity of the mid-budget action flick "Taken" accomplished two things. The two noteworthy accomplishments, however, were extending the career of an aging male actor and creating a new genre of film.
