The eighth instalment of horror franchise 'Saw' is reportedly set to begin filming in September. Bloody Disgusting reports that the film is yet to confirm a cast or director, but say that long-time Saw producers Dan Heffner and Oren Koules are returning to the project once more, alongside screenwriters Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger.

"Dark Awakening," the horror film by Alamance County natives Dean and Starr Jones, is now available at Wal-Mart stores nationwide, Hannover House announced Tuesday. "'Dark Awakening' is one of the best independent horror films to be released in the past decade," said Eric Parkinson, C.E.O. of Hannover House, an independent film distribution company with more than 400 titles in its library.

Actor John Hannah has slammed Star Wars: The Force Awakens film as "appalling" - but said he still wants a role in JJ Abrams' sequel. He tried to reverse the damage by hailing Abrams, who he worked with on TV show Alias, as "a proper cinematic film genius" but maintained that the Daisy Ridley-led seventh episode was "a waste of time".
