JARED LETO: Writer/filmmaker Josh Boone, who directed 2014's "The Fault in Our Stars," is adapting Anne Rice's novels - "Interview with The Vampire" and "The Vampire Lestat "- into a new movie titled "The Vampire Chronicles." The horror genre is no stranger to stories involving the possession of family members: from My Mom's a Werewolf to Rabid Grannies , this sub-genre has been done and re-done over and over again. From my vantage point, these films typically lean heavily on tongue-in-cheek humor - a kind of dark comedy that seems to relieve the filmmakers from having to really commit to either the horror or comedy genre.

It's only with an obscene amount of free time combined with a morbid curiosity that had me watching " Poltergeist III " on cable. My only real memories of it beforehand were a behind the scenes show detailing the special effects and Siskel & Ebert's scathing review of it.
