Frank De Felitta , who adapted his own horror novel for 1977's Audrey Rose , died Tuesday in Los Angeles at age 94. The death was confirmed by his son, Madoff director Raymond De Felitta. Audrey Rose , which along with The Exorcist and The Omen formed the decade's unholy trinity of demon pics, starred Anthony Hopkins and Marsha Mason, with Robert Wise directing from De Felitta's screenplay.

BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE had quite a drop-off in its second weekend of release. Its drop is larger than any recent Batman or Superman movie's second weekend of release.

" Escape Artist: A Tribute to John Carpenter " was held back in 2008 by American Cinematheque at the Aero Theater. In addition to being treated to a double feature of " The Thing " and " The Fog ," the writer, director and composer also showed up in between both films to give us more insight on them and took questions from the audience.

We caught a few glimpses of Doctor Strange in action last November, when Benedict Cumberbatch and Chiwetel Ejiofor were spotted filming in Nepal . While we got to see Ejiofor in full Baron Mordo gear at the time, Cumberbatch was still in civilian gear .

It's been 25 years since the novel American Psycho first hit shelves. Due to its level of violence against women, men, and animals, the book wasn't exactly a best seller and raised quite an amount of controversy when it was released in 1991.

Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike caused quite a stir at the box office in Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl and Amy Adams will be attempting to do something similar on the small screen. The actress takes the leading role in HBO's TV adaptation of Flynn's first novel, Sharp Objects, which as just been picked up for a full series according to US insiders Deadline .
