Since its first appearance in the West End in June 1973, The Rocky Horror Show has been bringing its schlock-horror and fishnets to theatres for more than 40 years. And now Richard O'Brien's tribute to sci-fi, B-movies, 50s rock and roll and transvestitism is returning to Manchester.

A classic Christmas film chock-full of reptilian mayhem is coming to Bay City's Historic Masonic Temple to put you in the mood of the season. As the latest installment in the Midnight Monster Movie Series, the original "Gremlins" is screening at 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and midnight on Saturday, Nov. 21, inside the Blue Room of the Historic Masonic Temple, 700 N. Madison Ave. in downtown Bay City.

The company, which has struggled financially since its last relaunch in 2009, has raised more than $800 million of equity and debt and is renaming itself Amblin Partners, adopting the name of Mr. Spielberg's production company known for such films as "E.T.," "Back to the Future" and "Jurassic Park."

Although it's one of the most popular novels of all time, somehow H.G. Wells' 1898 sci-fi thriller The War of the Worlds has never gotten a straightforward television adaptation. That's presumably all about to change, though, as U.K. production company Mammoth Screen is putting together a miniseries based on the alien invasion story that will retain the original setting and time period.

Comedian, actor, producer and rapper Mike Epps will celebrate the New Year by bringing his comedy act to The Orleans Showroom Jan. 1-2. Epps began his stand-up career in 1995 when he joined the "Def Comedy Jam" tour.

Maybe it's a case of something you dread - CGI chipmunks, those voices, Bella Thorne - turning out to be not nearly so bad as you'd imagined, but the fourth installment of the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" juggernaut really wasn't so bad. Given that only a very self-selected audience will even entertain viewing "The Road Chip," I hold my three-star-giving head high.

Complete casting has been announced for the Cleveland Play House 's upcoming production of the Howard Ashman and Alan Menken musical Little Shop of Horrors , which will be seen at the Allen Theatre Jan. 9-Feb. 7, 2016. As previously reported, Lauren Molina , the Broadway actress who is also part of the underwear-clad musical group The Skivvies, will play Audrey.

Vin Diesel and his company, One Race Productions, has signed a first-look producing deal with Universal Television, Universal announced Wednesday. One Race, founded in 1995 by writer, director, producer and actor Diesel, has produced the four highest-grossing films in the "Fast and Furious" franchise: "Furious 7," "Fast and Furious 6," "Fast Five" as well as "Fast & Furious."
