The United Palace of Cultural Arts will present the third annual Monster Movie and Mash-Up Nov. 1 at 4 PM featuring a screening of the 1925 silent movie classic " The Phantom of the Opera " with a live organist. The 1925 film stars Lon Chaney, Mary Philbin, Norman Kerry, Snitz Edwards and Cesare Gravina.

King Kong to film Skull Island in Australia starring Tom Hiddleston

The Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros Pictures movie Kong: Skull Island , starring Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson, will shoot partly in Queensland early next year, with pre-production starting this month. Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced that filming will take place at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast as well as locations around the south-east of the state.
