The premiere episode of MTV's hit new slasher series "Scream" scared up big viewership numbers, drawing more than 6.0 million total viewers in live + 3, including 3.1 million viewers in MTV's core P12-34 audience. The episode jumped 45% in L+3 and earned a 1.4 rating among P12-34.

When Columbia Pictures released "The Tingler" in 1959, people across the country made their way to the theater expecting just another horror flick. They weren't expecting producer William Castle to heighten the sensory experience by installing vibrating mechanisms into the bottoms of theater seats.

Back in 2013, it was announced via press release that Sunn Classic Pictures' Lang Elliot was working on a remake of 1983's Cujo , the Lewis Teague-directed film that was of course based on Stephen King's novel. Now another press release has arrived, and the details are a bit different.

"Little Shop of Horrors" has been an intimate part of my life since I first sat in the audience to watch a performance of the original Off-Broadway production starring Ellen Green as Audrey. As the performance ended in the Orpheum Theater, vines fell from the ceiling into the laps of the audience members.

TheWrap is reporting that Andy Garcia and Michael K. Williams have been added to the Ghostbusters cast. The Sony Pictures release is currently lensing in Boston.

With the recent passing of Christopher Lee, there was a blanket of sadness that covered the horror community as not only did we lose one of the greatest actors of all time, but the genre world lost the very last of the old guard. While legends such as Vincent Price, John Carradine, Peter Cushing and Peter Lorre had expired years beforehand, Lee was the last remaining icon from that era where class and commitment walked hand-in-hand with the horror genre, even when said work grew weary on these performers.
