This reviewer is not usually one for horror but upon revisiting Dog Soldiers I found it to be immensely enjoyable, as much for the home-grown humour as anything else. Shout! Factory's controversial new Collector's Edition Blu-ray has a unique look and some superb extras.

Sigourney Weaver, who played the legendary action heroine Ellen Ripley in Aliens , has hit out at the sci-fi crossover film Alien vs Predator . On Sunday at London Film and Comic Con, Weaver vented her disappointment with 20th Century Fox for choosing to create a film that pitted Predator, an extraterrestrial bounty-hunter from the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, with the monster from the Alien franchise.

The State College Spikes issued an apology on Monday for the bizarre Corey Feldman appearance at Medlar Field Sunday night. During this "performance," Feldman appeared dressed in a Michael Jackson-inspired outfit consisting of a leather jacket, sequined pants, and a matching hat, while his band was dressed in risque angel-wings and white bras.

What happened to the Farrelly brothers? It's as if the comedy fairy returned after 10 years to take back the jokes. In this sequel to the original "Dumb and Dumber," you could actually feel the flop sweat on Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as they flogged material for what turned out to be silent movie audiences.

It's been a while since last we heard anything about the fifth film in the Phantasm franchise, Phantasm: Ravager , but Gigi Bannister let is slip on Facebook that Gloria Lynn Henry who played Rocky in Phantasm III will be back for more. Still no word on when we'll be seeing the film Stateside but we've got our sphere's out patrolling.

While many enjoy the thrills and horrors of TV's "Shark Week," Anthony C. Ferrante has been living that phrase for a year now. His out-of-nowhere hit "Sharknado" took the trend-loving world by storm in 2013, and again in 2014 with the sequel "Sharknado: The Second One."
