It's hard to have missed the explosive launching of Jurassic World , the new dinosaurs-versus-humans bout in Steven Spielberg's venerable series. The movie made history already by being the highest grossing film ever in its first weekend, taking in more than $500 million worldwide.

Something that has been said many times - by myself as well as numerous other reviewers and horror fans - is there are very few truly good werewolf movies. I hate to sound like a broken record, but understanding this fact is crucial because it highlights just how difficult it is to do werewolves right.

As we get closer to the premiere of MTV's Scream , a key question remains: How different will the show be from the movie? "It's newer and sexier, but it's still scary," star Bella Thorne tells TVGuide.com. "We took the best parts of the franchise and we have these famous scenes from the movie that everyone knows, but we do them in a different way."

Laurie Metcalf is replacing Elizabeth Marvel in the stage adaptation of Stephen King's novel "Misery," which begins performances Oct. 22 at the Broadhurst Theatre. Marvel pulled out due to scheduling conflicts.

Tool will be making their 2015 live debut on Halloween night. Maynard James Keenan and company will headline the Monster Mash Music Festival in Tempe, Arizona on October 31. Primus and Coheed and Cambria will join Tool for Monster Mash's Halloween lineup.
