We're just a few weeks away from this year's Stanley Film Festival, taking over the Colorado hotel that served as the inspiration for The Shining' s Overlook at the end of the month. Today comes the exciting announcement that Cooties will be kicking off the festivities, so read on for details! The Stanley Film Festival, produced by the Denver Film Society and presented by NBC Universal's Chiller, announced today that Lionsgate Premiere's COOTIES will open the festival on Thursday, April 30, 2015.

Adapted by Cherie Bennett follows the fortunes of Darcy, a middle schooler who has a tough home life where money is tight and her parents argue constantly.

Julien's Auctions announced April 6 it will hold an auction featuring property from the estate of the Monkees' Davy Jones May 15 - May 16, 2015 at the Hard Rock Cafe New York. Items in the auction will include those from both his career with the Monkees and his personal life, the auction house said.

She landed her first role in The Bad Sister in 1931 and stole the screen in the '30s and '40s, winning her first Academy Award in 1935 for Dangerous .
