Sigourney Weaver has inspired moviemaker Neill Blomkamp 's upcoming Alien franchise film after chatting to her Chappie director about the character she played in the sci-fi blockbusters. Blomkamp spent hours chatting to his leading lady about his vision for a new Alien film and admits she made him rethink the whole idea.

The former son-in-law of late actor-director John Cassavetes was charged with 11 felony counts related to sex crimes and kidnapping Monday after authorities said he allegedly used social media to lure a 16-year-old New York girl to California before sexually assaulting her. San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials said Buck Wylde Murphy, 49, was arrested at his trailer at the Horseman's Center on Thursday night after detectives determined he had allegedly sexually assaulted the 16-year-old girl.

On Saturday, the weatherman gleefully announced that the temperature would “feel like 19 degrees.” I reluctantly dragged myself out of bed and donned two pairs of pants, faux-fur-lined socks, two shirts, a coat, a scarf, gloves and waterproof shoes. I left my warm home, drove to the SPCA, and climbed into the transport truck.

A 16-year-old Staten Island girl was lured to California, where she was kidnapped and raped by the former son-in-law of late actor-director John Cassavetes, according to police and other sources. Buck Wylde Murphy, 49, ex-husband of actress-writer Alexandra "Xan" Cassavetes, 49, John's daughter with actress Gena Rowlands, was arrested last week after officers in San Bernardino raided the desert trailer he allegedly used as a personal sex den, sources told The Post.

Paul Verhoeven , 73, who shares the same name as the famous Dutch director behind "Total Recall" and "Robocop," claims that selectors rejected his film, "Teenagers," because they were "homophobic," The Telegraph reports . The film, which covers a wide array of issues including terrorism, teen sexuality, homophobia and suicide, received poor reviews when it was released in 2009, Variety reports .
