Why did Alfred Hitchcock set so many films in Northern California? It was his home turf. The British director fell in love with the Bay Area while filming Daphne du Maurier's "Rebecca" in Monterey County in 1939, and the Hitchcocks bought a ranch and vineyard in Scotts Valley the following year.

The mooted Beetlejuice sequel is set in the present day and will bring back original star Michael Keaton, its screenwriter has revealed. Keaton starred in the 1988 original as a so-called "bio-exorcist" trying to scare away the new human inhabitants of a haunted house so that a ghost couple, played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis, can continue living there.

Standing in front of a poster of himself holding a handgun in Taken 3, the latest installment in a film series that relies on gunplay to heighten action sequences, Liam Neeson spoke to the attacks on Charlie Hebdo by offering condolences, then saying: "There are too many [bleeping] guns out there, especially in America." According to Gulfnews.com , Neeson stuck with the American rant, saying: "I think the population is like, 320 million? There's over 300 million guns, privately owned, in America.

The cast of King Kong prequel Kong: Skull Island looks to be shaping up nicely, with former Batman star Michael Keaton reportedly set to sign on the dotted line. Currently creating awards buzz for his turn in Alejandro Gonzlez Irritu's big-screen hit Birdman, Keaton is in talks to sign up alongside leading man Tom Hiddleston and JK Simmons , according to Deadline .
