It's almost hard to believe, but it's now been 12 years since the release of Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses , which officially launched the musician's career as a horror filmmaker. Over a decade later, the cast has reunited, and the photo is sure to put a smile on your face! This past Monday, Zombie celebrated his 50th birthday, and over the weekend his wife, Sheri, threw him a party that was packed with fellow horror icons.

However, this latest update suggests that the new installment is closer to production than ever. It's being reported that Italian actress Matilda Lutz just scored the lead role in the film, which apparently will bring back Samara and the cursed videotape, but not Naomi Watts ' Rachel Keller.

Sondheim suggested Into the Woods , one of his most acclaimed works.
