Troma's DVD release didn't do the film any favors and the director considers it a bootleg.

SCROOGE The first full-length sound version of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol , "Scrooge" suffers from a lack of special effects, some ineffective or dull performances and several important scenes being left out. Marley's Ghost can only be seen by Scrooge himself, not the audience, so we are treated to Seymour Hicks , as Scrooge, talking to nothing on screen.

The Who Framed Roger Rabbit star passed away in April at the age of 71 after succumbing to a bout of pneumonia, and it has now emerged that he left his family a fortune. Details of his will reveal he left his entire estate to Linda, his wife of 32 years, and she is set to receive slightly more than $1.6 million , according to Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper.
