Writer-director Rowan Joffe's adaptation of S.J. Watson's bestseller honors the lurid spirit of the page-turner enough to satisfy fans, but he doesn't transmute the material into something richer and deeper as, say, Hitchcock would.

When Jamie Kennedy's Randy Meeks spouted off rules of horror films in the 1996 film horror satire Scream , he forgot one: Always try to remake a successful horror film. Even without Randy's advice, the decision-makers at MTV knew that one and have green-lit a remake of Scream for the small screen, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

MTV announced Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 that it is turning "Scream, "the horror movie franchise, into a television series. The goal is to put 10 episodes on the air starting next October.

RESIDENTS lined the streets of Ramsbottom late into the night to try to catch a glimpse of Hollywood stars shooting a feature film in the town. A major scene from new film A Monster Calls, featuring Liam Neeson and Sigourney Weaver, was shot in Bridge Street at the weekend.
