Vulture writes that Tony-winning director Julie Taymor has finished the film version of her staged production of Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, which ran at the Polonsky Shakespeare Center in Brooklyn this winter, produced by Theatre for a New Audience.

Late-night frights are back at the Film Society this summer. In July and August, Friday nights at 11pm will feature mind-melting, gross-out horror as well as rarely screened classic cult favorites in 35mm, curated by Film Comment Editor and Film Society programmer Gavin Smith.
