Nearly three years after it was first announced, Cabin Fever: Patient Zero will finally see the light of day this summer. The second sequel to Eli Roth's hit debut feature film, Patient Zero may be more of a prequel, with a plot that traces the origin of the flesh-eating virus to a research facility in the Caribbean, where a group of party-going friends inadvertently contract the disease. The movie was directed by Kaare Andrews (Altitude) and written by Jake Wade Wall (When a Stranger Calls, The Hitcher remakes). There's no specific release date yet, but Image Entertainment will distribute the movie simultaneously via limited theatrical release and video-on-demand sometime this summer.
