Here are some new horror/suspense release dates of note:
- Knights of Badassdom: If you don't live near one of the few theaters showing this long-delayed horror-comedy, fear not; it's hitting DVD on April 1. No April Fools here.
- Ouija: What began as big-budget, Jumanji-styled, family-friendly board game fare has now become a smaller-scale horror movie revolving around the titular game, from the writer of The Possession, Boogeyman and Knowing and produced by hit-maker Jason Blum. It's been scheduled to go head-to-head with Paranormal Activity 5 this Halloween, opening on October 24, 2014.
- Crimson Peak: Guillermo del Toro returns to horror with this turn-of-the-century haunted house tale starring Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Charlie Hunnam and Tom Hiddleston. The plot remains shrouded in mystery, but the release date is not: October 16, 2015.
