Almost all the kerfuffle over The Canyons focused on the fact that star Lindsay Lohan was a hot mess during the production, with crying jags and refusing to come out of her dressing room for nude scenes.

The second installation following the 2010 original has the interesting conceit of ghost-as-good-guy, but the scary parts are mostly overemphasized by blaring music, which didn't accomplish much except freak out my cats and telegraph that the omnipresent "Bride in Black" is basically Norman Bates .
