Here are some new horror/suspense release dates of note, in order of release:

  • Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 1: The latest horror-comedy from Troma legend Lloyd Kaufman revisits his cult fave Class of Nuke 'Em High. It opens in limited release on January 10, 2014.

  • The Sacrament: The latest from writer-director Ti West (The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers) is a "found footage" film about a documentary crew investigating a commune that may be a front for a cult. It hits theaters on June 6, 2014 and will be available on demand starting May 1.
  • The Green Inferno: Eli Roth's first feature film directorial effort since Hostel: Part II finds a group of student activists encountering cannibals in the Amazon. It opens on September 5, 2014.
  • Tusk: Kevin Smith's foray into horror (granted, that's what we thought Red State would be) is based on an online ad -- later revealed to be a hoax -- placed seeking a roommate who's willing to dress up like a walrus for two hours a day. It's scheduled for the third quarter (July - September) of 2014.
  • Lazarus: Formerly known as Reawakening, this Jason Blum production about students who unleash an evil force when they bring a colleague back to life comes from the director of the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi. It hits screens on January 30, 2015.
