The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes, producer Jason Blum's long-gestating (since 2011) attempt to lend his Paranormal Activity "found footage" touch to the storied Amityville franchise, will gestate a bit longer -- under a new name. Now titled simply Amityville, it will hit theaters on January 2, 2015. Feel free to take this announcement with a grain of salt, however, as its the third separate January this film -- which purports to be 1970s footage of a news reporter's investigation into the events behind the Lutz family's experience in the notorious haunted house -- has been scheduled for release. It was initially going to be out in January 2012, then January 2014 and now January 2015.
