Aww yeeaah, it's about to get insidious up in here. It doesn't open for another three months, but now we have our first good look at Insidious: Chapter 2, and it's looking pretty good. The A&E TV channel, which delved into horror/suspense this spring with Bates Motel, is preparing to return to the genre with a show called Occult. It was touch and go for a while, but NBC has renewed its serial killer drama Hannibal, a re-imagining of the characters from Thomas Harris’ novel Red Dragon. Its ratings haven’t been stunning, but they’re a definite improvement on the network’s consistently dismal performance during the 10 PM Thursday night slot — in the past year or so, it’s hosted four now-defunct shows: Prime Suspect, The Firm, Awake and Do No Harm — as NBC is still struggling to fill the void left by ER in 2009. Like the first season, Hannibal‘s second season will consist of 13 episodes airing during midseason (i.e., early 2014).
