Hey, why not throw another vampire movie onto the ever-growing heap? The latest is Metamorphosis, a direct-to-video effort featuring Christopher Lambert (Highlander) in a tale that ties in the legend of real-life Hungarian countess Elizabeth Bathory, who reportedly killed hundreds of girls in the 16th century and bathed in their blood to preserve her youth.

It’s been released all around the world, either in theaters or on home video, and now it appears that Renee Zellweger’s long-delayed Case 39 will finally see the light of day in the US. Paramount Vantage has just announced an October 1 release, but if it doesn’t make that date, it won’t be the first time, since the film has been postponed a number of times since its initial planned release in February 2008.

The trailer for The Wrestler director Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan doesn’t really clarify whether it’s a psychological thriller or a supernatural thriller, but it does appear to have thrills, intrigue, emotion and some level of mind tripping going on in the story of a ballerina tormented by an upstart new rival.
