The Burmese Python (Python molurus bivittatus) is the largest subspecies of the Indian Python and one of the 6 biggest snakes in the world, native to rain forest areas of Southeast Asia. They are often found near water and are sometimes semi-aquatic, but can also be found in trees.
The Burmese python is one of the largest of all snakes, growing up to 8 metres (25 feet) and weighing up to 180 kg (400 pounds). It continues to grow throughout life and the great length is due to the presence of a large number of vertebrae. Females are typically larger than males.
A Burmese Python at Serpent Safari Park in Gurnee, Illinois, USAholds the record for heaviest living snake. As of 2005, it weighs 182.76 kg (403 lb) at a length of 8.23 m (27 ft).

Warner Bros. has tapped Zack Snyder to direct a redo of
The Illustrated Man, based on the 1951 collection by Ray Bradbury.
The helmer, busy prepping
Watchmen (based on the Alan Moore legendary comic series) for the studio. Watchmen scribe Alex Tse will tackle the screenplay.
The collection, first published in 1951, is narrated by a mysterious man with living tattoos that predict the future. Rod Steiger starred in the title role for the 1969 bigscreen adaptation, distributed by Warner Bros.-Seven Arts; Claire Bloom co-starred.
Snyder and his wife (his production partner) signed a first-look deal with the studio in the wake of his success with
300, which was based on Frank Millers amazing comic book.
It kicks ass to see these great works getting the attention they deserve.

Variety reports Dimension Films has inked a two-picture deal with writer-director Rob Zombie. Andy Gould, Zombie's longtime manager and producing partner, has boarded both projects as producer.
Pact comes as Dimension and distrib partner MGM prepare to release Zombie's
Halloween nationwide this weekend. Per the terms of the two-pic deal, Zombie will write and direct both titles, although Dimension didn't release any further details about the projects, including whether they would be horror films.
Zombie also directed the upcoming animated pic The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, featuring Paul Giamatti in the lead voice role. He also helmed one of the fake trailers, Werewolf Women of the S.S., featuring Nicolas Cage, that was part of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse.
